Description: SB is an ashtray born from a particular situation in my new house: 5 coffee pots and two ashtray, now used to divide the cards of a puzzle in construction…Result: 0 ashtray! So this was the necessity behind SB, born form the mix among a coffe pot filter, a cardboard and a cork specifically carved to make the plug for the filter. When the ash falls down into SB, you only have to shake a bit the ashtray and the ash goes down under the filter. Moreover the filter is removable, so it could be cleaned.

It is an experimental project based on the observation of a couple dining out.
The gestures and behaviors were the base to design five tables, each one
with a different feature to suggest a way to interact with the person who you are dining with.
An event/dinner is the final test to try out the tables and see if the interaction between the
guests happens or not, it is also a way to discover new gesture and new input to design new tables.

Name: Transeat
Description: Fusion between the field of urban furniture and road signs, «TranSeat» is a barrier that can change its meaning as needed. Sometimes a barrier and sometimes a bench, showing an unexpected and contradictory functionality, which sees an object designed to live «against» the person being now on the user’s side, meeting his/her repressed needs and expectations. A tubular steel frame and wooden slats create an innovative item, both in function and design, opening the way for a series of multifunctional elements for urban regeneration. «TranSeat» is in fact designed as a mobile barrier or as fixed barrier, suitable as a park fencing or for other areas of the city.

Two layers of sepia corrugated cardboard,
15 folds and 3 glue points together
add up to 600 grams of a load-bearing structure.

C’artù is a seat with royal feature,
characterized by strategic die-cuts
that allow a pop-up transformation
from 2D to 3D trhought a few simple maneuvers.
It is easy to transport thanks to a handle bar cropped
into one of the two long sides.
When folded, this takes the form of a handbag
thanks to a wire rope and a button
that keep it closed therefore allowing it
to occupy a minimum space.

IT IS SUPERSUPERLIGHT AND MELTS IF GETS WET!
