Name: Transeat
Descrip­tion: Fusion between the field of urban fur­ni­ture and road signs, «TranSeat» is a bar­rier that can change its mean­ing as needed. Some­times a bar­rier and some­times a bench, show­ing an unex­pected and con­tra­dic­tory func­tion­al­ity, which sees an object designed to live «against» the per­son being now on the user’s side, meet­ing his/her repressed needs and expec­ta­tions. A tubu­lar steel frame and wooden slats cre­ate an inno­v­a­tive item, both in func­tion and design, open­ing the way for a series of mul­ti­func­tional ele­ments for urban regen­er­a­tion. «TranSeat» is in fact designed as a mobile bar­rier or as fixed bar­rier, suit­able as a park fenc­ing or for other areas of the city.
